Julia Jamila Werner
Julia Jamila Werner is one of the two regional coordinators for North Africa and the Middle East. She is a Master’s student of International Politics and International Law with a focus on international humanitarian law and international human rights law at Kiel University, Germany. Previously, she completed Bachelor’s programs in Media Acting and Moderation, Political Science and Sociology and she worked for the German television channels ProSieben and NDR. Her research interests include human rights, social movements and identity constructions in the WANA region. As a German-Moroccan, she has close ties to the region, culture and language. Julia will soon be working as a political journalist focussing on North Africa and the Middle East.
