Our world is becoming increasingly complex. Today’s challenges are growing beyond the scope of individual actors, and the consequences of single actions are becoming increasingly difficult to predict. Data science provides important tools for decision-making: understanding complex systems, developing scenarios for action, strategic foresight and monitoring real-life developments.

IFAIR’s Data Science Hub aims to educate about the strengths and limitations of quantitative approaches and mathematical modelling. We aim to highlight the wide range of application areas and help bridge the gap between theory developments from quantitative sciences and real-world applications.
